Maintenance instructions

2_1 Valeria Home wool is a hundred per cent natural wool with lanolin on the entire fibre surface. Lanolin is a wax secreted by the sebaceous glands, with a role in protecting the wool thread. Valeria Home wool contains 0.6-0.8% lanolin.

By washing, detergents partially or totally degrease the fibre and remove the lanolin, removing its natural protection. The result is felted, contracted wool. The fibre becomes brittle and is no longer resistant over time.

Instructions:

  - Do not wash the quilt. Use the quilt shown.

  - Air it out periodically when the air humidity is low. The sun's rays sanitize the product and promote the elimination of moisture trapped in the wool structure. Wool has the natural property of self-cleaning and self-sanitizing.

  In exceptional cases:

Only in exceptional cases can you do a maximum of 2 washes during the product's entire life.

  - Half fill the bathtub with warm water at a maximum of 30° and dissolve half a glass of shampoo (100ml) for hair.

  - Submerge the duvet and wash it by pressing only. Avoid handling (turning) it when submerged.

 - After you have finished washing, remove the plug and let the quilt drain for half an hour without pressing or handling it.

 - After half an hour, you can press it to remove the excess water. Do not lift or handle the product!

- Rinse in one or two waters: we repeat the process above without using detergents or fabric softener.

- Finally, start wrapping the quilt, pressing it after each fold. Try to remove as much water from it as possible. Please leave it to drain wrapped.

- When you pick it up, there shouldn't be much water coming out of it! It is hung to dry with a basin under it, where the water can drain.
