There is no single pillow that suits everyone, but there is a pillow that suits you, your sleeping position and your body type. Three simple references can help you choose more easily:

  • Sleeping position: sleeping on your back, on your side or on your stomach changes the level of firmness you need.
  • Your body type: a more petite person usually feels comfortable with low or medium firmness, while a taller or stronger build generally needs more support.
  • Shoulder width: people with broader shoulders usually need a higher or firmer pillow, in order to keep the cervical spine in a natural position.

At Valeria Home, we also use it as a pillow filling, OEKO-TEX® certified, for sleep free from allergens, with a cool feeling during summer and a pleasant touch all year round. It is the choice for those who want a premium material that is gentle on sensitive skin. 

Merino wool pillow 

The Merino wool used by Valeria Home is OEKO-TEX® certified and manually wrapped in GOTS-certified organic cotton. We use layers of wool batting arranged in multiple layers, so the filling does not shift or clump over time. Instead of chemical mothproofing treatments, we chose TERPESHIELD, a natural blend of essential oils that protects the wool without synthetic compounds. Over time, a Merino wool pillow becomes a support that adapts to the shape of your head and neck, offering a restful experience throughout the night. 

Bio cotton pillow

OEXO TEX-certified bio cotton is the right choice for those who prefer a light, breathable and hypoallergenic pillow. The cotton batting is also arranged in overlapping layers, for an even filling with no empty spaces.

Hungarian goose down pillow

For an airy, lightweight feel, we chose goose down from Hungary, wrapped in a 100% cotton Twill fabric with a Magic Touch finish, made in Germany. It is a suitable option for those who prefer a fluffy pillow, pleasant to the touch, without giving up natural materials.

How do I care for a pillow with natural filling?

Pillows with natural filling, such as silk, wool and down, should not be washed at home. They should be spot-cleaned by gentle dabbing, and we recommend using a protective pillowcase. For deep cleaning down pillows, we recommend professional cleaning services. 

Does the pillow keep its shape over time?

Pillows with natural filling, without added polyester, compress slightly as they are used, adapting to the shape of your head and neck. Their support capacity is maintained, even if the initial volume decreases. Gently shaking the pillow every few days helps redistribute the filling.
